Skyline Banquet November 19, 2011

STEWART, OHIO-After a hard-fought season on the track, race teams and fans are invited for a more peaceful time at the 3rd annual Skyline Speedway racing banquet at the "No Idea Sports Dining" facility inside the Comfort Inn in Marietta, Ohio on Saturday, November 19. The Comfort Inn, located just off Exit 1 off I-77, will discount rooms for racers and fans associated with the banquet.
The top five in points in three divisions- 410 Sprints, AMRA Late Models, and AMRA Modifieds-- will be honored, although all drivers and fans are invited to the banquet free of charge.
The sprint title went right down to the wire after points leader Jimmy Stinson flipped on championship night. Stinson narrowly defeated Aaron Higgins 711 to 693 with Josh Davis in third 665, Dave Dickson fourth with 657, and Brian Benson 533.
In the Late Models Chris Garnes again claimed victory with a 744 to 614 pad over runner-up Ralph Withem. Chris Carpenter had 578, Larry Bond 575, and Andy Bond 574 to round out the top five.
Jimmy Stinson, Vandalia, Ohio captured the 410 Sprint championship with owner Billy Jarrell while Chris Garnes, Evans, WV repeated in the AMRA Late Models. Andy Bond returned to championship form in the AMRA Modifieds, while Tommy Adkins captured the Four-Cylinders in a repeat performance, and Frankie Hall claimed the Semi-Late Crate Championship. R.D. Jones, St. Albans, was the high-point Mod Lite driver and Cole Mayle captured the Mini-Wedge title in 2011. Overall, 355 cars competed at the Speedway.
Once again Skyline owner Billy Jarrell will pick up the tab for the dinner and refreshments. Alcoholic Beverages will be cash bar only with Happy Hour beginning at 5:30 and ending at 6:30. The dinner and awards presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Additionally, the top ten in the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Series will be honored. Various Raffles and Door Prizes will be given away at the event.

All drivers should attend the banquet or have a representative of their team at the banquet or in my opinion forfeit their point money.
