I remember a time when they use to have a story about the night plus full results, feature winners pictures and interviews posted every week on thier web site. The story and full results were also posted posted on various message boards like OhioValleyDTR and 4m.

Smith Sweeps OVSCA Sprint Weekend with a win Saturday

Event Info

by admin

(Peebles, OH) For the first time in nearly 7 Years the 410 Sprint Cars returned to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex! 18 sprints showed up and put on an excellent show for the good crowd on hand. The sprint fans came from all around to see the exciting 850 HP cars rock around BMC.

Before the sprints came out it was time for the local support divisions to take the track. The Crazy Compacts were up first. Bill Taylor soared to his second straight win in the compacts. Taylor rolled into victory lane with no trouble. He was followed by Randy Johnson and Joe Smith.

The Bombers were next on tap and Mike Brust was on the hunt for 2 in a row but Tommy Mossbarger had something to say about that. As the race took off Brust pulled out front but Mossbarger started to chase him down. The laps were closing down and so was Mossbarger. Mossbarger was able to run right up onto Brust and got beneath him a couple of times but in the end Brust pick up win #2 of the season at Brushcreek! He was followed across the line by Tommy Mossbarger, Tim Cutler, and Josh Francis.

The Sprint fans were anxious to see their favorite class but enjoyed the suspense in the UMP Modified feature as well. After wrecking his primary car at Southern Ohio Speedway on Friday, Dave Jamison’s crew thrashed to get his backup car ready to roll on Saturday. Jamison was also looking for two in a row but the father-son duo of Tim and Jeremy Rayburn were also on the hunt. Tim Rayburn jumped out to the early lead and was pressured by Jamison, who was pressured by Jeremy Rayburn, all race long but prevailed in the end! Tim Rayburn picked up his first win at Brushcreek in 2012 and was followed by Dave Jamison, Jeremy Rayburn, Mike Gross, and Jeremy Scott.

When you heard the crowd cheer you knew it was time for the big show, the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association 25 lap feature! Coming to the Green Ronnie Blair and Bryce Dickson were on the point. After suffering a few early wrecks the race got started and Blair took off. Blair was not alone for long as veteran Danny Smith was hot on his heels. After following for a few laps Smith made his move an never looked back. Smith Swept the OVSCA weekend with a win on Friday Night at Skyline Speedway and the A-Main win at Brushcreek on Saturday. Following Smith across the line was Ronnie Blair, Aaron Higgins, Bryce Dickson, and Wesly McGlumphy.

Rounding out the night of action was the Brushcreek Legend Car Series. Gerald Campbell and Tom Partin lead the field to the green. It was a hornets nest at the front for the first few laps but then 15 Year old Steven Partin jumped out in front and never looked back. Tom Partin had his hands full with Jarron Perdue the entire race in a heated battle for second. Steven Partin picked up his 3rd win of 2012 and the 4th of his career.

Brushcreek Motorsports Complex will be back in action this Saturday with Fan Appreciation Night and as a thank you to the fans General Admission will only cost $10 a CAR LOAD!!! Thats right, see a full night of Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Bombers, Brushcreek Legend Cars, Crazy Compacts, and Mini-Wedges for only $10 for your entire car load of people! Make sure to check out brushcreekmotorsports.com for more information and also see www.********.com/OVSCA for the full story on the 410 Sprints.
