EXPO SPEEDWAY BACK IN ACTION DURING FAIR WITH 2 SHOWS FOR 2012

Fairboard officials voted for racing to return in 2012 with 2 STRAIGHT NIGHTS OF RACING on WED JULY 4TH AND THURS JULY 5TH.

On WEDNESDAY JULY 4TH the FASTRAK LATE MODELS will make their 5TH ever appearance in a REGIONAL show that kicks off the 2ND annual FASTRAK CROSS THE BORDERS SPEEDWEEK SHOW paying a season high $2,000 to win.This series was extremely successful in 2011 with over 50 drivers competing in the 5 day long series. The FASTRAK LATE MODEL regional shows have average around 32 or so cars and this race should be no exception on a rare Wednesday night appearance.

Accompanying the FASTRAK Late Models will the the always exciting EMODS to finish off the evening. The Emods have had the highest average car count at any track this year so this race should be no exception.


THURSDAY JULY 5TH will be the 4TH ever appearance of the BRP Big-Block Modified Tour at Expo .
The popular STREET STOCKS will also be in competition.
It will be an SHARON/RACEWAY 7 RULES RACE WITH EITHER 8" OR 11" TIRE meaning cars that run both tracks and Mercer cars will be legal to run. SHARON rules are at www.sharonspeedway.com and RACEWAY 7 rules are at www.raceway7.com


ALL DRIVERS MUST USE RACEIVERS FOR THIS EVENT...INFO ON RENTALS WILL BE FORTHCOMING

Each day gates open at 3 p.m. With hot laps at 5:30 p.m. And racing beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the fair is just $7, which includes the races at no additional charge in the 4,000 seat covered grandstands built in 1970. Pit access is by Gate A on Hogland-Blackstub Road right past the church. A reminder that ATVs and golf carts must be kept in the pits and cannot go outside this area.

Racing series is a non-profit organization established to give the V-8 Modifieds in the Western Pennsylvania area the opportunity to compete for higher purses and for a seasonal point fund.
