Default TOO MANY CLASSES AT TYLER COUNTY SPEEDWAY

Mod's -Hot Mods- Modlites-Late models -Crate late models-4 cyl and Mini Wedges. Is there any other classes we can find to run at Tyler. Wait until 1:00 A.M. to run a Crate late and Mod lite feature and then cancel both because of the FOG. I forgot Bike night on top of all that . Getting home at 3:30 AM is no fun, and no pay out for the two classes that waited until 1:00 to run and then get cancelled. I like this speedway, but when you run a big race like the mod's did this week, you need to do away with a few classes.

Consys in 3 classes and 20 cars in another (lm). Gotta expect a kinda late night... was it a long night yes but how many laps of racing did fans get to watch def got there moneys worth and the track was phenomenal. No matter what Tyler does someone complains . I'll just say from experience go somewhere else and you will see the grass isn't any greener.

The program had flaws was drawn out and wasn't very efficient but sometimes you have that . I'm just happy the track was decent and we had a place to run!

And yes they had to take 5-10 mins and give out bikes to kids they already canceled autograph nights and other kids events which got scrutinized Im glad to see they took the time to give out these bikes that people donated for the youth!

Tyler is one of the only tracks in the region that has car counts high enough to require B-mains. That takes longer than most tracks to get a show complete. I have also noticed several times they call drivers to line up in the shoot & the drivers dont respond & wait till the last second. this also creates a more drawn out show, its not all the tracks fault. I do agree though when they are having a special event they should cut out atleast 1 class to help run a more smoother program.

I personally love Tyler, moved away last year and miss the racing there! I would love to come and watch but since I have to work at 6am on Sundays it makes it kind of hard but trust and believe I will be taking a Sunday off just to come and watch. I will agree yes the nights are long, yes it does get drawn out but you can't blame the track all the time. When drivers are in other drivers pits talking and waiting until the last minutes to line up it holds things up. ok big deal they gave bikes away. The kids deserve to have fun as well.

Be thankful you are getting your money's worth of racing. You could go to 250 Speedway where they run mods, pures, super sports, 4 bangers, and mini and are usually done by 10 and start at 7:30 or 8 and charge $10. Musky had a $3,000 to win race for lates and had 56 cars total, that was all classes.

Now I will agree with the 4 cylinder class, I personally don't see why that class is still around at Tyler, invest all that money for safety and race for a trophy. The mini wedges are different, those are getting the kids into racing, and I love watching those at Tyler, those kids get around that track. I have seen them at Hilltop and Musky, and they are like watching paint dry at both. Nothing compares to watching them at Tyler!!!!!!!!!

I agree with WVRacefan, when it is a big show, cutting a class wouldn't hurt. And it could be rotated among them. One time cut the 4 cylinders, one time cut mini wedges, another cut hot mods, etc etc etc. Alot of other tracks do it to save time as well.

Race receivers are mandatory but I watch lap after lap of side by side caution laps. My opinion is if the race receiver is not being used and someone has to go on the track to line them up, send that car to the tail. You will see race receivers working all the time.

I think that it would be awesome to really start enforcing things to keep everything on track. Like when they call a drivers meeting and it takes forever for drivers to show up. And calling for a class to get to the shute and once again its forever before anyone shows up. Its been a little better but still needs improvement. Then the Raceivers... Nothing is more annoying than being a spectator and watching caution lap after lap and no one being in the right positions.

They where a little late getting stuff goin at the track the mini wedges are supposed to start at 6:30 and where not on the track untill after 7...i dont really see how you can cut out a class when your having a big show for another class..for example if you cut out hot mods or mod lites one night..you are losing around 20 cars in each class these classes help pay the purse for the big money races...every once in a while a track is gonna have a late night we have to deal with that...if it was a every week thing i would be upset as well but you have to take the good with the bad and just be glad you have a place to race on a saturday night

Raceceivers are manditory. But when some drivers let them hang outside their ears or simply don't listen it is not the tracks fault. Yes the show was late, but as Danny said many activities have been canceled and it didn't take very long to hand out the bicycles. I don't like getting home at 3 or 4 am either. But no one is getting the car counts Tyler is getting. No one is running as many laps as Tyler does. Actually there were 4 consys. Remember not that long ago when it was common to see the grader two or three times a night with half the cars you are getting now and getting out at 1 or 2 am. I would rather watch 4 consys than watch the grader dig dirt.....
