I think with the right people getting ahold of this track and getting the right person to talk to the big name drivers and series I think they could split time with sprints and super late there running big races every month or couple weeks just so that the track will not beforgetten of as the speed plant it was. That track could be a nationally known circuit if the right people get their hands on it and not want to tear it up to hurt the other local tracks around it by shortening it.

when it was for sale a few years back AND now , the sticking point for ALL the big name buyers (and there were more than a couple) was the access in and out of the racetrack. Traffic has always been a real problem and headache with the small entrance , and it turns off a lot of fans and racers . With NO inexpensive solution (estimates to redo the entrance or build a new one is in the millions) , it's going to be hard to build the track up to where it deserves to be . If the entrance problem could be corrected , a buyer would be much more likely to be willing to put money in the track ;

I forgot all about the entrance problems to that place. I remember some people saying the tunnel was a big part of it, and part of the grounds to the track are on someone else's property? Now that you mention it Rick, that does make sense. Maybe someday, someone with deep pockets will come along and put the money into it to make it a premiere racing facility.
