Apple Grove, WV- May19, 2012~ Racin’ Jason Jameson of Fairfield, OH raced his way to Victory Lane in Moler Raceway Park’s ([url www.molerracewaypark.com[/url]) 5th Annual Freedom Fighters 40 featuring the ADRA Super Late Models presented by Suddenlink. (www.suddenlink.com). Yet another packed house enjoyed a star-studded full field of some of the very best talent in the region. www.adraracing.net.

Jameson, who set fast time at 12.509 in the Lanigan’s Autosports #29 Rocket, started in the 3rd position as a result of a 3rd place finish in the “ADRA Super 8 Dash.” The ADRA Super 8 Dash is a brand new format for the ADRA that Race Director, Donnie Mercer, put together. The Super 8 Dash aligns the fastest 8 qualifiers by order of a redraw on the front stretch to determine their starting position. Then they race for starting positions in the A-main feature by order of their finish in the Super 8 dash. The remainder of the field is determined by the remaining heat race results.

“Hot Rod” Rod Conley won the 1st ever ADRA Super 8 Dash and started on the pole but the “Silver Shark” Scott James would assume the lead off turn 2. Conley, who is the 2011 defending champion of this event and also the 1st ever ADRA Late Model feature winner, would duel with Jameson for 2nd for the next few laps with Jameson finally getting by. After that Jameson set his sights for the leader. After a 7 lap side by side skirmish with Scott James in the #81 Clearwave Communications Rocket, Jameson would take the lead and never look back. “K-Rob” Kent Robinson made an impressive late charge to the 2nd place position in his familiar #7R Keyser Manufacturing Mastersbilt from an 8th place starting position to win the Hard Charger award.

When the checkers dropped the top 5 were Jameson, Robinson, James, Conley, and Duane Chamberlain in the #15 car, who had an impressive run starting 10th and finishing 5th. Hoosier Racing Tire takes point #1 in the Tire Manufacturer Points as the winning tire for this event. The winning tire receives 1 point per feature win.

The ADRA Late Models will have a tandem event weekend coming up as we travel to Jackson County Speedway in Jackson, OH for the “Jackson 50” on Friday June 29th (www.jacksoncospeedway.com) and the “North vs South Battle of the Midway at Midway Speedway" in Crookesville, OH (www.midwayracing.com) on Saturday June 30th for race #2 and #3 of 2012. Both tracks are new to the ADRA Late Model’s in 2012.
