Post OBRION OVAL WV RESULTS JULY 4th

COOTER THORN WINS FACEMYER FOODLAND INVITE AT OBRION

Obrion Oval race fans celebrated the 4th of July with one of the most exciting race this season, The top billing for the day was the Facemyer Foodland Street Stock Invite with a $500 payday and the cars came from all over to do battle in this big race. Heat wins went to #21 Jim Latti and #R15 J.R. Gibson. The start of the feature saw Latti and Gibson lead the full field of racers to the green. The fans saw a lot of passing for position thru out the field and several lead changes for the entire event but when the checker flew coming across the line for the win was #26 Cooter Bobby Thorn to claim the $500 prize money. Following Thorn was Sheldon Ferribie Chase Holcomb Johnny Singleton Bozo Williams J. R. Gibson to name the top six. In the Outlaw Mini Stocks Charleston Wv. driver Lucas Jones in the #02 mount made his trip to Obrion a winning one as he took the lead at the drop of the green and led every lap but a persistent hard challenge came from second place runner # 31 Aaron Morton who came up just a bumper short at the line when the two racers were side by side at the checker with Jones edgeing out Morton for the win. The winner in the Super Streets was David King over Todd Osborn and Paul Hanshaw. Another feature win went to returning Terry Vaughn in the V8 Enduro class as he won over John Thorn Corkey Cottrell Donald Cottrell Brad Atkins Roy Woods and Roger McKenny. In the 4 Cyl Enduro #74 Benji Cruckshank would take the checker over Jason Moore Paul Hagerman Billy Martin B.J. Cruckshank Rayan Gibson Scott Helmick and Joe Legg

This is just some constructive advice. We appreciate your race reports, but they are very hard to read & make out who finished where. This is just my opinion, but you should try to post results in a different format.

example:

Street stock Finish order
1.cooter thorne
2.sheldon ferbie
3.chase hocomb
4.etc
5.etc

Outlaw mini stock
1.lucus jones
2.aaron morton
3.etc

Maybe try it like this for each class for the feature & heats, also give the car count for each class. Like I said it's just my opinion & we appreciate what you do. Just trying to help.
